When to Use Modifier GT

Use modifier GT for Medicare and certain Medicaid telehealth claims delivered via two-way, real-time interactive audio-video systems. It is the Medicare-specific counterpart to modifier 95 and is required on claims submitted to CMS for synchronous telehealth services. Confirm payer requirements before using GT versus 95.
