Both Medicare and commercial payers increasingly require POS 10 when the patient joins a session from their residence.

When to Use POS 10

Use POS 10 when delivering synchronous audio-video therapy and the patient is at their home address. This is the correct code for the vast majority of private-pay and commercially insured telehealth therapy sessions conducted since 2022.
